A Sleepy Smile

Sleep comes to claim me
I picture your face and smile
Then I close my eyes

 

Arrival

The leaves turn to gold
Before blowing on the wind
Autumn has arrived

 

Autumn weather

While Autumn rains fall
I am very thankful for
My warm coat and hat

 

Why I don’t feel cold

I don’t feel the cold
Because the warmth of your heart
Protects me from chills

 

Absent beauty on a dark night

I look to the skies
To see the beautiful moon
But it’s too cloudy

 

A New Day

A new day awaits

But first I’ll go exploring

In the land of dreams
